We Did It!

Wow. We actually did it. We survived another August. Around here, August is brutal. Cabin fever has set in after months of being couped up due to extreme hot temperatures, the Rhea Lana sale represents a huge (much loved) disruption of our schedules and pace of life, and we are all generally worn out and bored. But we survived! This year represented an extra few challenges when we changed churches and my health completely bottomed out. Caleb saw the paramedics take Mommy away in an ambulance. While the dude loves all things firemen, he was not okay with this development. Not exactly a high point of the month y'all. But again. We survived.
And we LOVE September. While the last few days have registered very high 90s again, we did get a reprieve from the heat and have relished in bike rides, walks and parks! New meds and ACCURATE diagnoses have left me feeling MUCH better and Caleb has been happily reunited with his soccer team for another season of Red Devil's domination. He is getting his foot on the ball, assisting in goals and having a blast. Yup. We love September!
So as we re-enter the real world and break free of our summer bubble, we look forward to cooler weather, outdoor fun, birthday parties, pumpkins and of course....DISNEY WORLD! Two months y'all. TWO MONTHS!
Oh, and Caleb has discovered that the superhero world consists of more than just Spiderman. His IronMan costume is ready to go for Halloween and he has declared that his party this year will be all things superhero. Comic fans be warned....I practically bought out certain sections of Half-Priced Books' comic book collection with the intention of cutting them up as decorations. I heard the collective gasp...but seriously, would anything super valuable be sitting on a shelf at half-priced books? When you see the party pics I think you will be fine with it too.

LOVE Y'ALL! LOTS AND LOTS!

And while I do not have any pics to commemorate the occasion, MANY thanks to Grandmom for taking care of our dude at the end of Rhea Lana sale week. They had a lot of fun and she was there to comfort our little man for my ambulance adventure. We love you Grandmom.
