Our Friday was very sticky. Rain was supposedly on the way (it never showed up) and it was really muggy and sticky all day! The waves were REALLY BIG and obliterated most of the beach all along the seawall. We stuck to the pool again which didn't bother Caleb in the least. He didn't seem to notice at the end of the day that we hadn't stepped foot on the beach today.
We have discovered a lot of really great restaurants this week and found one of my faves yesterday, the Mosquito Cafe. Yes, icky name with WONDERFUL food. Homemade and delicious! And right next door was Patty Cakes, their bakery. Caleb went nuts for their cake balls with sprinkles.
We went back downtown for a little while, so we took Caleb's bike with us. He rode all over the place for well over an hour and has gotten quite good at maneuvering around obstacles...though Mommy's foot did become a casualty early on. We really didnt' do much else today. It was nice and relaxing. Grammy and Pop bought Caleb a little stuffed hamster in a pet carrier that he had discovered earlier this week. He has named it Zhou Zhou (since his other hamster at home is a zhou zhou pet, you can see his logic) and has so much to say to his new friend. Their conversations are so funny! For instance: "Zhou Zhou you are going to be so surprised when we get home?" (Why Caleb?-zhou zhou sounds a lot like Mommy with a cold) "I have lots of toys and you will love them!" Well anyway, we think that it is adorable.
